Nottingham Comedy festival was established in 2009. Together with the help of local comedians, friends, promoters and businesses it took place between October - November with 50 acts in 10 venues.
Over the years the festival has grown to include a wide variety of comedy, from stand-up to improvisation, plays to workshops and more, we aim to bring a great selection of comedy to the city (and county) for everyone to enjoy.
We aim to bring together both the brand new comedians to the well established and give everyone an opportunity to enjoy comedy, whether they are performing or watching. This year we are supporting the charity, The National Autistic Society
"The East Midlands is a vibrant and creative part of Britain and Nottingham having its own comedy festival keeps the heart of the country alive and laughing!”
Patrick Monahan (Comedian)
"The Nottingham Comedy Festival gives local comedians and comedy performers the perfect opportunity to perform and develop their own shows locally and affordably. Since it started in 2009 the Festival and it's regular comedy events have created a focal point around which local artists can meet and perform. In doing so a vibrant and exciting local comedy scene has emerged in Nottingham and continues to develop."
Pete Smith (Comedian)
